Bergstrasse Wine

Where spring starts earlier than elsewhere in Germany and 1,600 sun hours bring golden autumn days, it goes without saying that quality wine grows here.

Not only classic Riesling Wine grows on approximately 840 hectares alongside the Hessische und Badische Bergstraße – Hessian and Baden Bergstrasse, but also Weiss- und Grauburgunder und Müller-Thurgau – Pinot Blanc, Pinot Grit and Mueller-Thurgau. The varietal Spätburgunder – Pinot Noir dominates the field of red wine. Furthermore, the Bergstrasse winegrowers offer, of course, a range of sparkling wines – from traditional bottle fermentation to Secco. This product line up is completed by noble brandies.

The Bergstrasse offers numerous wine events for all connoisseurs. In spring the "Bergsträßer Weinfrühling" – "Bergstrasse Wine Spring" and in the second half of the year the "Bergsträßer Weinherbst" – "Bergstrasse Wine Autumn" invite you to enjoy the diversity of wine in combination with culinary delights either on the occasion of the famous Weinlagenwanderung – Bergstrasse Vineyard Trail or during a wine tasting. And, of course, you are invited to savour Bergstrasse wine on the occasion of one of the numerous Bergstrasse wine fests.
